IPL 2020: Preity Zinta Celebrates After KXIP Defeats KKR By 8 Wickets

Kings XI Punjab became one of the top four teams of the Indian Premiere League 2020 after winning over Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday. Preity Zinta, the co-owner of the team celebrated the victory of her team with Chris Gayle and Mandeep through a video session. Preity looked evidently happy and was thrilled by her team’s performance.

She was quite interested in talking to the two players who were credited for the team’s victory and asked them what they were talking to each other on field during the 100-run partnership against Kolkata Knight Riders. While Chris  praised Mandeep and said that he batted brilliantly, the latter said he wished the former never retired. Preity  agreed with Mandeep that Chris, popularly known as the ‘Universe Boss’, should never retire.

Preity  also praised Mandeep on Twitter for his performance on field despite the fact that he has been facing problems in his personal life. The cricketer recently lost his father and still played a match delivering an incredible performance. In the video, the actress also praised Chris’ singing talents and the trio rocked to the tunes of his song.

Chris came at no. 3 and smashed Kolkata Knight Riders with 51 runs off just 29 balls with five sixes and two fours. Mandeep, on the other hand, finished with 66 runs off 56 balls with eight fours and two sixes. From being a bottom-placed team, Kings XI Punjab registered their fifth win with this match. Next, Kings XI Punjab will play against Rajasthan Royals in Abu Dhabi on Friday. Preity has been regularly updating her fans about the matches happening in Dubai. She earlier shared how she missed watching matches in a full stadium. She also shared her experience of living there and watching amid a Pandemic. Preity gave daily updates of her time in a hotel room where she was quarantined before the event started.
