Ishq Vishk 2 In The Making? Shahid Kapoor And Amrita Rao Starrer To Get A Sequel – Reports

Ishq Vishk, the Bollywood coming-of-age romantic drama starring Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao in the lead along with Vishal Malhotra, and Shenaz Treasury had won the hearts of the audience in 2003. There have been varied rolls of speculation for the film’s sequel. Recently, producer Ramesh Turani brushed aside the dust and revealed that he is very thrilled about the second instalment of Ishq Vishk and that his authors have already started their work on the storyline. The development had been curtailed for a while due to the pandemic and some other projects that were already in the works.

However, work on the second film has resumed, and producer Taurani will begin his hunt for a director and actors once the script is finalized. Amrita Rao generated wide attention with her character named Payal Mehra who was portrayed as a simple college girl in the film Ishq Vishk. Recently during the launch of designer Sonali Jain’s store, Amrita shared her views on the recasting of the film. She mentioned that if the movie ought to be recreated with new cast members then Sara Ali Khan could play Payal’s role and Tara Sutaria could play Shenaz Treasury.

As the sequel was announced, news stories began to surface that Shahid’s younger brother, Ishaan Khatter, had been approached to reprise the role in the remake. However, a few days after making the headlines, the Dhadak actor denied the unsubstantiated rumours, claiming that he won’t be a part of the Ishq Vishk sequel. The 2003 romantic comedy revolved around childhood friends Rajiv (Shahid Kapoor) and Payal (Amrita Rao).
