Vihan Gowda has spoken at length in this video about his role, which was supposed to be of a young boy in his early 20s. Since the role was that of a racer, it was imperative for the crew to select someone who was hyperactive like the character Karthik. While that was challenging enough, the makers of the film wanted an actor who looked young and at the same time, when he fought he had to look like a stud. When Vihan heard the story, he knew there would be a lot of homework involved. To learn how a car-mechanic-cum-racer’s life, Vihan had to learn a lot to ace Karthik’s role. He even spoke a little about the tattoo and messy hair that he sported for the character’s look.
Coming to the race portions, it apparently took around 25 days to shoot just the race part of the film. So without a doubt, you can expect a huge chunk of the film to be just the race. He also went on to say that racing cars are hard to adjust to as they are very different from the normal cars used daily. According to him, inside these race cars, there’s no AC, cushions and on top of that to complete the look he had to wear a helmet too. Director Yogaraj Bhat took the challenge one level up as the racing scenes were mostly taken in and around hilltops. Vihan then praised the producers and called them simple human beings for being as involved in the film as he was. The actor signed off by complimenting the systematic order in which the whole project of Panchtantra was dealt with.
Now, to get a taste of the film for yourself, all you have to do is stay tuned on your ZEE5 till 21 June 2019.
