This whole issue on ‘to shower or not shower issue’ came up when the actor couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis revealed recently that they only bathe their kids when they can visibly see the dirt on them. This led to the usual random appearance of the topic at an interview of Jake Gyllenhaal where he seemingly agreed with the actor couple. Jake Gyllenhaal offered his opinion on the lack of necessity of showers, the bafflement loofahs give him, or whether the showers in trailers work or not. There was also a side comment thrown about the helpfulness of the no-shower movement for the skin.
The Clarification
It might have seemed like a serious commentary. The actor however recently clarified his stance at a question and answer session for the premiere of his newest work, The Guilty. He said that he had spoken a lot of things in a jestful and sarcastic manner. He had not expected the topic to follow him around for such a long time.
And in a bid to continue the jestful nature of his comments, Jake Gyllenhaal ended his comments on the issue by saying that he had just showered before coming to the interview. So tough luck for those who were hoping to bash him on his hygiene routine.
