Janhvi Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao Starrer ‘Roohi’ Gets A Release Date

The Coronavirus had halted several things across the globe, one of them being film releases. One such film is the Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Sharma and Rajkummar Rao starrer, Roohi. The film was ready to be released for months, but the worldwide pandemic caused a massive delay in it. However, the team of Roohi has now officially announced a release date and fans are extremely excited about it.

On February 15, 2021, the team of Roohi finally announced the film’s official release date. While the film had been ready for months and was set to release back in mid-2020, its release dates were pushed to this year due to the pandemic. Roohi is being presented by the makers of the superhit 2018 film Stree and is a Hardik Mehta directorial that will star popular Bollywood actors. While Janhvi Kapoor will play the role of a witch, we will witness Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma flawlessly string in the comedic elements in Roohi.

The actors recently took to their Instagram to share the posters of their film together and fans seem to be very excited about this upcoming release. While fans flooded the comments with their excitement, several friends and acquaintances poured in good wishes too for the film too. Roohi was initially named Rooh-Afza and it was then changed to Roohi Afzana by the makers. And at last, it was shortened to the name Roohi which has now been confirmed as the final name of the film with Janhvi sharing the film’s poster on her social media handle. In the short teaser that was shared along with the release date announcement poster, we also saw Janhvi dressed as a bride while Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma stood behind her in the outfits of a groom.
