Satish Kaushik has donned the director’s hat for the movie Kaagaz. The movie would be releasing on 7 January on ZEE5. Kaagaz is produced under the banner of Salman Khan Films and stars Pankaj Tripathi in lead role. This would mark the collaboration of Satish Kaushik and Salman Khan for the second time after the movie Tere Naam. Recently, Satish Kaushik talked about his collaboration with Salman Khan and also thanked him for supporting his movie.
Satish Kaushik spilled the beans about how there is a big coincidence behind the making of Kaagaz. He mentioned that Markat, the man whose story has been narrated in the ZEE5 movie Kaagaz, spent 18 years to prove that he is not dead. Interestingly, Satish Kaushik got the rights of making a film on Markat in 2003 and he had spent 18 years to finally release the movie in 2021. Another coincidence he talked about was he and Salman Khan coming together again. He said that Tere Naam was in making during 2003 which was directed by Satish Kaushik and coincidentally after 18 years, they are coming together again. He also informed that he and Salman are coming again with a very different topic for their audience just like Tere Naam as it was a very ‘out of the box’ movie.
Satish Kaushik also talked about his movie Kaagaz and told that he has been quite connected to the genre of satire. Be it plays or movies, he has always tried to keep it light and same goes with Kaagaz. He added that Kaagaz is a dark comedy and it is based on a very serious subject but they have tried to portray it in a more humorous way.

Satish Kaushik also gave an insight on how the association of Salman Khan with Kaagaz will aid to its popularity. He said as soon as the name of SKF was attached to Kaagaz, he felt he has a responsibility to meet certain expectations as their previous association Tere Naam was a total hit and so he wanted to meet those expectations.
