Satish Kaushik is an alumnus of both, FTII and NSD. No wonder why he is such a brilliant actor and director. Besides directing Tere Naam, he has also acted in a lot of films, like Masoom and Haseena Maan Jaayegi. Pankaj Tripathi, while talking about his role in the film, said, “Satish sir was my senior in National School of Drama and coming from a drama background, we get a sense of simplicity and sensibility which was needed for this movie.”
Pankaj Tripathi has been acting in Bollywood since 2004, and after his most noted role in Gangs of Wasseypur, he has earned millions of fans from all over the world. His brilliant performances, his simplicity in his roles, and the realism that he brings in his acting, are what won so many hearts. You can also watch his celebrated performances in The Tashkent Files and Bareilly Ki Barfi.
When asked about working with Satish Kaushik, Pankaj Tripathi revealed that he was a little afraid to work with him. He said, “I was afraid when I came to shooting on the first day because Satish sir is an actor being with a director. But in the whole shooting, he did not interrupt me and acted out scenes to show me how it’s done. He did guide me verbally but did not dictate the performance by acting it out. He gave me that freedom.”
Knowing that these 2 genius minds have worked on this film, Kaagaz is certainly something we’re lookin forward to.
