Kaagaz is a black comedy based on a man named Bharat Lal who has been declared dead in the government papers. He even meets the sarpanch of his village and also finds a lawyer played by Satish Kaushik to help him regain his identity. While the lawyer assures him that he’ll help him win the case, he has no concrete evidence to support his claim.
Talking about Bharat Lal’s efforts, he even names himself as Bharat Lal Mritak ( dead) to gain attention. Though everyone mocks Bharat Lal for being dead, he doesn’t lose his hope and continues to fight. He even makes a union with all the people who are declared dead in Government papers. The trailer ends with Bharat Lal’s wife showing trust in him to fight till he wins and Bharat Lal delivering an impressive speech in front of the judge in the court.
