Kalyana Vaibhogam: How Charukesa, Meenakshi and Chari together are the classic example of a happy family

The crux of Kalyana Vaibhogam is in the odds that Manga and Jai have to face in order to stay together as a happy family but one of the most entertaining and engaging bits of the series comes from the parts with Charukesa, Meenakshi and Chari. There are no two doubts about the same. The chemistry that the family shares with each other is authentic and convinces us that they are a real family.

From the relationship between Charukesa and Chari to how Meenakshi and Chari talk to each other, the family seems to be straight out of our daily-life neighbourhood. Chari, the short-tempered and easily disturbed father is kept away from all the shenanigans that the mother and son have between each other. He wants to be respected desperately but is shown the mirror by his son Charukesa.

While Chari struggles to earn honest respect from his son, Meenakshi is the more reasonable parent who is always beside him to calm him down like most households. She is the parent that her son trusts and they run everything in their lives with the support of each other which is admirable.

From their poetry ‘Jugalbandis’ to Chari trying to discipline his son but not being heard, every moment with Chari’s family is a delight that just cannot be missed. We would certainly love to have more of them on screen. At the end of the day, they are always there for each other through thick and thin!
