Divorce is still a taboo subject in our country, and most women endure societal criticism when they take this step in their life.
Bigg boss star Kamya Panjabi has lambasted a troll on Social media for commenting on her divorce and new marriage. She also included a picture of her reaction in her post. Kamya wedded Shalabh Dang in February of last year, 7 years after her previous marriage ended in divorce.
A comment on the post read that “Ek toh apni pehli shaadi bacha nahi paayi, aur talaaq ho gaya, fir dusri bhi karli, hadd haii”. He meant to say that earlier you got married, then got divorced and again remarried. This should be the limit.
“So?” Kamya Panjabi said immediately. “Mujhe khush rehne ka ya jeene ka koi haq nahi. Toh aurat ko marr jaana chahiye talaq ho gaya? Aurat ki talaq ke baad zindagi khatam thodi hojati hai? Aap jaisi soch rakhne waale logo ke khilaf harr ladki ko apni awaaz uthani chaiye aur kuch karti bhi hai. Mujhe kamzor mat samajna bilkul bhi, chahe hi main ladki hoon, mai khudke liye lad sakti hoon”, Kamya commented.
Kamya expressed in the comments section that Should a separated lady die? Divorce never means the end of a person’s life. Every female needs to speak up against people who think like you do. They’re also expressing their views. Do not consider her to be a weakling. She is a strong woman, and she is capable of fighting.
Bunty Negi, an entrepreneur, was Kamya Panjabi’s husband for ten years until their divorce in 2013. She has a daughter named Aara with her first husband. When she tied the knot to Shalabh Dang last year, she was bombarded with harsh remarks about her remarriage.
She was taunted on social media that in our families, relationship breakdowns don’t occur. Divorce is a very terrible term and she hoped that no one ever goes through that feeling. That concept is abused in our society. If someone is divorced, single parent of a child, or decides to start a new life, they will be trolled and will not receive any kind of support, Kamya Panjabi remarked in an interview last year.
