Kamya Punjabi Opens Up About Joining A Political Party; Says, ‘It’s Not Hunger For Power Or Money’

Television actress Kamya Punjabi has always been very vocal about everything she feels. The actress is always seen taking a firm stand for everything she believes in and never shies away from keeping her opinion forward. Well, Kamya has been talking out loud on the ongoing Aaryan Khan drugs case too for quite a few days and has been in support of the young boy.

Well, today, the news of Kamya Punjabi stepping into the world of politics took the internet by storm. Friends and well wishes of the actress have been congratulating her on this move. Kamya spoke about the reason behind entering politics to a leading media daily and revealed that her decision of joining politics stems from a deeper cause and that she is not looking for any kind of fame or attention. The actress revealed that Bigg Boss 13’s contestant Tehseen Poonawalla saw the knack Kamya had for politics and guided her to start her political journey. Kamya also revealed that she always had the desire to join politics even when she was at the peak of her career.

Kamya said that she wants to work for the betterment of society and is not hungry for power or money. The actress also revealed that she wants to work for women empowerment and for women who have been victims of domestic violence as she too has been through the same and has suffered silently in her past. When the actress was asked about moving to Delhi, she said that right now she will be working from Mumbai. However, in the future, if need be, she is ready to move to Delhi, UP, or any other place as she wants to serve her country.

She also revealed that her husband Shalabh Dang is quite supportive when it comes to her career choices, be it acting or now politics. When the actress was asked about her acting career, she revealed that she will continue acting as it is her first love. However, she will speak to her producers when she joins a show and she will balance out her responsibilities.
