Kangana Ranaut thanks Queen’s director Vikas Bahl for his role in shaping her successful career in Bollywood.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut recently took to the social media platform Twitter and thanked Queen’s director Vikas Bahl for his contribution to her career. Her movie Queen completed 7 years of release yesterday and social media was filled with the hashtag #7yearsofqueen.

In the Twitter post, Kangana shared a throwback picture from the sets of Queen where she and Vikas Bahl can be seen looking into a cellphone and laughing. Her caption read, “Vikas sir wherever we may be with our friendship today but I do believe you played a very significant role in shaping my destiny, I enjoyed every minute of our creative partnership and today when I see #7yearsofqueen trending…. I want to say thanks to you. Thank you so much.”

Kangana also shared the story as to how she got the role of Rani in the film, Queen. She wrote that after almost a decade of struggle she was told she was not good enough to be the leading lady of a Bollywood film. Her curly hair and vulnerable voice made the problem worse. She recollects that she had signed Queen with the thought that it will never release. She accepted that she signed it for money with that money she got an admission in a film school in New York.

Kangana Ranaut and Vikas Bahl’s friendship hit the rocks when Bahl was accused of sexual harassment by an employee of Phantom Films. During this time, Kangana spoke in support of the employee and said that she too felt uncomfortable in the company of the director.
