Kapil Sharma Makes Shocking Revelation On Being Called ‘Mota’ For Hosting Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa; Says, ‘I Was Asked To Lose Weight’

The popular stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma hosts The Kapil Sharma Show in which they interact and interview with celebrities on their upcoming projects and keep entertaining the audience with their charming personality along with his team Kiku Sharda, Sumona Chakravarti, Archana Puran Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Bharti Singh, Chandan Prabhakar.
During his latest interview, Kapil Sharma told RJ Nishant on an FM Radio show Bounce Back Bharat Festival, that he was reached out by a channel’s production house to host the dance show Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa. Kapil told that when he was called by the channel he went there and asked him if he could host the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa. Then he had asked what he’s required to do, makers told him he will be co-hosting it with Maniesh Paul.
Kapil Sharma further stated that he agreed initially and was fine. The makers told him to meet the other production house for the reality show. When Kapil Sharma went to meet, one lady member from the makers looked at him and said that he was too fat and need to lose some weight. He informed the production house about that comment and asked them ‘what is all this’. When the show makers called her they told her about Kapil that he’s a very good guy and let him go on board and then he’ll lose weight later.

Then Kapil Sharma suggested they should make a comedy show. Then the channel asked Kapil to pitch and he asked for two days’ time, as he had no ideas in his mind. Kapil went back to his house and really thought about ideas as he really enjoyed doing standup, sketch comedy, costume comedy. Kapil Sharma previously did The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007 and Comedy Circus and also won six seasons of the show with his amazing talent. So he wanted to bring all experiences he has together in this show. they asked him how long will be the show and he gave them the breakdown but after the standup, gags , interviews of the celebs, still five minutes were left but when the show was shot, it went up to 120 minutes. They wanted just 70 minutes of content,” Kapil said.
