Kareena Kapoor Khan Is ‘Shining Bright’ On Times Square Billboard

Celebrities are usually surrounded by controversies. And when religion comes to play, it’s a different ball game altogether. Recently, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan found herself in the middle of a similar controversy where people were upset with her for charging a really high fee for playing the role of Sita in an upcoming film based on Ramayan. Just as this controversy began to die down, Kareena again creates some buzz with her latest post on social media, featuring herself on a Times Square billboard in NYC.

From ‘Boycott Kareena Kapoor Khan’ to “shining bright” on Times Square

According to reports, Kareena Kapoor Khan was demanding a whopping 12 cr to play the role of Sita in Alaukik Desai’s version of Ramayan. This seems to have upset the netizens as ‘Boycott Kareena Kapoor Khan’ immediately started trending on Twitter. Meanwhile, many users also said that since she’s a Khan now, they don’t want her to portray the role of Ma Sita. However, Kareena didn’t react to any of this and chose to stay calm.

Later, she shared a post on her Instagram, that saw Kareena Kapoor Khan on a billboard in Times Square, NYC. The ad running on the billboard was a part of a campaign by Malabar Gold and Diamonds. The actress captioned the post as, “Shining bright like diamonds and gold on a billboard” while tagging Malabar as well. Many colleagues from the industry including sister-in-law Soha Ali Khan and global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas commented on Kareen’s post appreciating her feat.

Kareena Kapoor Khan was last seen in the Irrfan Khan starrer ‘Angrezi Medium’. The actress will now be charming the audience in Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ which is scheduled to release by the end of this year. Lates, she will also feature in Karan Johar’s multi starrer magnum opus, ‘Takht’.
