
Karisma, Krystle Take Up ‘LockDown Mein LockUp’ Initiative To Help Domestic Abuse Victims
BollywoodKrystle D’souza, Kalki Koechlin and others raise their voice in support of the #LockDownMeinLockUp initiative to help women facing domestic violence.
Zee TV and ZEE5 actresses have started raising their strong opinion and voices in support of #LockdownMeinLockup initiative. The divas are sharing their pictures along with the names of the domestic abuse victims on their respective social media. Within no time, this initiative grabbed a lot of attention and the Hindi entertainment industry came together to support the domestic abuse victims. Celebrities have taken upon themselves to spread the needed awareness and have appealed their followers to help in the form of donations to the NGO.
Actress, Karisma Kapoor, shared a black and white picture of her, with the name of a domestic abuse victim. She captioned the picture as “I am Ankita’ and talked about the initiative and urged her followers to raise funds to raise resources to fight domestic violence. “I am her voice today and the voices of many victims of domestic abuse which are going unheard as they are locked up with their abusers in the lockdown. #LockDownMeinLockUp.”
Actress Mouni Roy shared a black and white selfie picture of herself, on her Instagram page with the name Ruksar on it. She captioned the picture as, “Hi I am Ruksar I am her voice today and the voices of the many victims of domestic abuse which are going unheard as they are locked up with their abusers in the lockdown. #LockDownMeinLockUp.”
Veere Di Wedding Actress Swara Bhasker shared a selfie picture of her with the name of the domestic violence victim Jayshree, on it.
Actress Malaika Arora shared a picture of herself with the name Ruksar while nominating her sister Amrita Arora, Karisma Kapoor and Twinkle Khanna to take the movement further.
While actress Shilpa Shetty shared a picture of herself with the name of Seema on it and said, “I would like to nominate @farahkhankunder, @akankshamalhotra, @tabutiful, and @shamitashetty_official to lend their voices to this cause too and help me spread awareness.”
TV Czarina Ekta Kapoor too shared a picture of hers with the name Sunitha on it. She wrote, “I am Sunitha. I am her voice today and the voices of the many victims of domestic abuse which are going unheard as they are locked up with their abusers in the lockdown. #LockDownMeinLockUp.”
Fittrat actress Krystle D’Souza shared a picture with name Fatima on it.
Kalki Koechlin also raised her strong voice and shared a picture with name Ruksaar on it. She nominated her friends and said, “I nominate @radhikaofficial @therichachadha and @guneetmonga to lend their voices and help out too.

Actress Mahie Gill shared a picture of herself with the name Sunitha on it. She even thanked actor, Abhay Deol for nominating her for making her a part of such a noble cause.
