TV ShowsDeepika Padukone’s incessant complaints about hubby, Ranveer Singh made Big B call up the superstar and scold him for not keeping his promises
Marriages are scared, marriage vows even more so. But the sad fact is not all promises are kept, in the case of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh – not much is different from most other couples. Recently, Deepika was on national television lamenting about unkept promises to none other than Mr. Amitabh Bachchan.
It so happened when Deepika Padukone accompanied by Farah Khan were invited as guests for the Kaun Banega Crorepati, Season 13. The Shandaar Shukravaar episodes usually see Mr. Bachchan playing the game with celebrity contestants. When Deepika Padukone was asked how her married life is going, she was quick to open the pandora’s box of complaints. The Chhapaak actress was most sad about the fact that Ranveer Singh has never cooked a meal for her. When they were to get married, Ranveer had made many promises about getting her breakfast in bed, etc. However, none of those promises have seen fruition. “He had once promised to cook breakfast for me and he still has not,” she said.
What the actress had not thought in her wildest dreams, was to have Mr. Bachchan call up Ranveer immediately. He told Singh had his wife is rather miffed by the fact that he is not keeping his promises. While Ranveer sounded aptly chastised, he promised, “Amitabh sir ne bol dia hai. Ab tujhe main godd mein bitha ke omelette khilauga!”
His promise of making Deepika sit in his lap for a meal, had Farah intervene asking Singh, why was he making Deepika sit on his lap when all he had to do was go to the kitchen and cook. The peels of laughter around the set were infectious!
Deepika and Farah share a lovely friendship, as the latter had introduced Deepika to the world of movies. Deepika’s debut film Om Shanti Om was directed by Farah Khan and to date remains one of the most popular films in both the ladies’ repertoire.
