Watch the film here:
Directed by GV Sudhakar Nair, Ranga the Donga is a 2010 action entertainer. The film revolves around its titular character, Ranga, played by Srikanth. Ranga is a small-town boy who dreams big, because of his fascination for factionist leaders. Since childhood, Ranga also aims to restore worth in the police force. So, he goes his own way to do so. And that involves stealing money from the corrupt police officers.
Because the money he stole was black anyway, the officers fail to take any direct action. As time progresses, Ranga starts understanding the system and starts stealing the officers’ stars too. He does it to teach them a lesson on their own worth. Surprisingly everything works in Ranga’s favour until one day when he crosses paths with Bhavani, a real-life factionist.
What strikes unusual here is the uncanny similarities between Bhavani and Ranga. All his life, Ranga dreamed to live Bhavani’s life, and now he was seeing it coming closer to reality. However, fate had different plans for Ranga and for Bhavani. Bhavani’s wife tells Ranga to take his place after an unfortunate event and asks him to conceal his own identity. Through this journey, Ranga also learns that Bhavani was his own sibling. What more awaits for him on this journey?
