Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner broke their silence on Astroworld Tragedy

On Friday at Travis Scott’s concert at the Astroworld festival in Houston, Texas, a tragedy took place in which a large crowd of concertgoers rushed the stage crushing those who were in front of it. Eight people were killed ranging from 14 yrs to 27 yrs. Travis and Kylie expressed their heartbreak but Kendall, who was one of several public figures in attendance at the festival, and Kim chose to be on mute on this. Now, both broke their silence and express themselves on Astroworld Tragedy.

Kendall Jenner was in the audience during Scott’s performance, and she looked to be safely seated in a VIP area with her sister Kylie Jenner, with whom the Rapper shares a 3-year-old daughter.
Kendall claimed she was ‘still at a loss for words’ over Friday’s events, speaking out for the first time since the incident. On Monday, she posted on Instagram, ‘I’m absolutely devastated for the families who have lost loved ones, and my thoughts go out to everyone affected.’ ‘I’m sending all of my love and wishing everyone who has been affected strength at this really difficult and delicate time.’ she added.

Kim Kardashian, her older sister, followed suit on Monday with a statement of her own. Kim, who was not at the festival, expressed her ‘heartbreak’ for the tragedy’s victims.
‘I’m extremely heartbreak for the lives that were lost and for anyone that was hurt at Astroworld,’ Kim wrote in a statement shared on Instagram and Twitter. ‘Our family, like all of you, is stunned by the catastrophe’, she added.

Kim expressed her condolences to everyone affected by the disaster before mentioning her sister Kylie’s partner, Scott, whom she described as ‘devastated’ and ‘caring so much about his followers’.
‘We’re keeping all of the victims, families, and loved ones touched in our thoughts and prayers for healing — as well as Travis Scott, who we know loves his fans and is saddened,’ she said.
