Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal series has become a cult for all his fans. While everyone has their own favourite part, Ajay Devgn recalls the time when his son Yug had slapped him. Yug is now eleven years old.
Ajay had said that Yug had tears rolling down his eyes when he saw Parineeti Chopra’s character Khushi’s death in the Rohit Shetty film Golmaal Again.
Ajay was asked his family’s reaction to his performances, especially when he has to take a few jokes about himself. Ajay had told in an interview That’s really a lot of fun. Even people at home with me, also laugh at it. In fact, they should be feeling worse but that’s being sporty, that’s being a character.
Talking about Kajol and Yug’s reaction, Ajay had added they have laughed at everything possible. Kajol doesn’t stop laughing. His son cried in the second half, twice. And he slapped me also. On Pari’s (Parineeti Chopra) death, his tears were rolling down. He was sitting in Ajay’s lap and he asked Yug what happened and he just give Ajay one saying ‘don’t watch me cry.
The story of the film revolves around how five orphan men return to the orphanage they grew up in to attend their mentor’s funeral. However, they encounter the ghost of their childhood friend, Khushi, and help her attain salvation.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, Golmaal Again was released in 2017. It was the fourth instalment in the Golmaal franchise and also starred Tabu, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Khemu. The horror-comedy was a hit with a lifetime domestic collection of around ₹200 crores. Golmaal has a dear connection with a lot of viewers.
Ajay Devgn will now be seen in a cameo in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on November 5 this year.
