KRMKB: Dr Harsh Reminds Us Of Dear Zindagi’s Dr Jug And Taare Zameen Par’s Ram Shankar Nikumbh

Rishi’s mental state has been deteriorating over time on Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti. The poor boy was greatly affected by his parents’ separation combined with the taunts and bullying from society. Due to this, Rishi (Pratyaksh Panwar), who’s a sweet caring boy, has developed anger issues as well. As an aid to the current situation, a new character has been introduced to the show, Dr Harsh Kulkarni (Yash Sinha). And do you know who he reminds us of? Shah Rukh Khan’s Dr Jug from Dear Zindagi and Aamir Khan’s Ram Shankar Nikumbh from Taare Zameen Par. Read ahead to know why.

Dr Harsh (Yash Sinha) is the latest entry in Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti, who is sure to bring some new changes into Shubhra and Rishi’s life. He’s a psychiatrist and therapist who specializes in child psychology. Without even looking at him, Shubhra( Neha Marda) was captivated by the way he talked about kids and their mindset. And his official entry was exactly how it seemed to be, like Rishi’s prayers have been finally answered.

Dr Harsh is a compassionate doctor who understands and empathises with human emotions, just like Dr Jehangir Khan aka Dr Jug (Shah Rukh Khan) from Dear Zindagi. Although Kaira (Alia Bhatt) wasn’t a kid, she was surely childish and stubborn just like a little kid. Dr Jug got her to open up about her emotional traumas and helped her get through them.

This is exactly what Dr Harsh will be doing now in Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti. He will befriend Rishi on the pretext of being Shubhra’s friend, he’ll get Rishi to open up about whatever is bothering him and also help him to get over it. All this in his own quirky, unconventional ways, similar to those used by Dr Jug to help Kaira.

Dr Harsh also reminds us a little of Aamir Khan’s Ram Shankar Nikumbh from Taare Zameen Par. Despite not being a psychiatrist or therapist, what Nikhubh really understood was Ishaan’s issues. When the whole world seemed to be against him, Nikumbh stood by Ishaan(Darsheel Safari) and helped him get over the hurdles. While doing so he also inculcated newfound confidence in the little boy.

Similarly, now Dr Harsh will get into Rishi’s inner circle and transform his personality. Harsh would use music, art and more to get Rishi to open up about issues bothering him while helping him to deal with them. He might as well be the last hope for Rishi’s happiness right now. Moreover, he would also help Shubhra to lighten up a little, as he did in his first meeting itself.
