There are very few faces in the entertainment industry that are remembered for a long time and maintain their dominance in the hearts of the viewers. One of them is actress Supriya Shukla. She played the role of Sarla Arora for eight years in Kumkum Bhagya and later in Kundali Bhagya. After being a part of the hit shows for such a long duration the actress has decided to take a break. Supriya Shukla will no longer be a part of Kundali Bhagya now.

While talking to a leading news portal, Supriya said that Sarla was an interesting role when she was offered Kumkum Bhagya, eight years ago. She enjoyed playing mother to Sriti Jha and Mrunal Thakur and the character had many layers. But after playing it for many years, Supriya realised that she didn’t have much to contribute to the show. Luckily, the makers introduced Sarla’s character in Kundali Bhagya and again she was playing mother to two daughters, but this time the story was equally interesting and she played the character for another four years.

She further added that she was also cast in Molkki. In the past few years, and more recently due to the pandemic, Supriya hasn’t stepped out with her family and now she wants to do other things. Shooting for two shows – Kundali Bhagya and Molkki- at the same time was not giving her space to spend quality time with her family. Therefore, Supriya has decided to give Sarla a break.

She also talked about the character she played, Sarla. While talking about it she said that she never used glycerine in her scenes and many times she had to cry and even after the scene was over. Supriya said that she used to keep crying later on too. Emotionally, Sarla’s character was quite draining and she has put in a lot over the years. She also feels that every character should have scope to contribute to the show. In the future she might again plan to come back on the show, Supriya concluded.
