Kundali Bhagya‘s Preeta (Shraddha Arya) and Karan (Dheeraj Dhoopar) might be facing big problems right now, with her arrest and Karan not believing her, but they have proven time and again that they make for a strong unit. This is especially true when Mahira (Swati Kapoor) is involved. We know that Mahira is Karan’s childhood friend, who lives with the Luthra family. She is obsessed with Karan because he was nice to her a couple of times and also he’s a famous cricketer. Mahira’s love is evil and she’s obsessed with him. Right from her entry on the show, Mahira has only been plotting to become Karan’s wife and take Preeta’s place. But these incidents prove that #PreeRan are a power couple and people like Mahira can never harm their relationship!

Mahira ruining Preeta’s Karwa Chauth

It is Preeta’s second Karwa Chauth but her first in the Luthra house. She wants to do everything right, but Mahira has other plans. She wants to fast for Karan and decides to poison Preeta’s food in the morning so that Preeta will fall sick and will have no choice but to eat. But Preeta perseveres, and she manages to stay without food and water till the chaand comes out. Even then Mahira tries to make Karan make her drink water by feigning weakness. She acts like she has fainted to get his attention, but in a hurry, it is a waiter who makes Mahira drink water and not Karan. And all ends well as Karan breaks Preeta’s fast and the two share a romantic moment together on the balcony!

Mahira taking Preeta’s place in her Muh Dikhai

On Preeta’s Muh Dikhai ceremony which is a grand event at the Luthra house, the bride goes missing! Prithvi’s brother, Pawan kidnaps Preeta and she is unable to attend her own function! Preeta gets hurt in the process of freeing herself as well. Mahira takes this time to dress up in the same outfit as Preeta’s and takes her place. Karan is livid and tells her that he and Preeta are married and that no one can take Preeta’s place. Later Preeta makes it back to the ceremony and handles everything. She lies about her absence so that no one is alarmed and she even shares a sweet dance with Karan which leaves everyone smiling!

Mahira sabotaging #PreeRan’s honeymoon

Mahira is so jealous of Preeta that she follows her and Karan to Manali, where Rakhi sends them for their honeymoon. Mahira plans to ruin their honeymoon by taking Preeta out of the picture and drugging Karan. She wears Preeta’s nightgown and goes to Karan while he is in a delirious state. But before Mahira can take advantage of him, Preeta shows up and saves her man. Of course, she has a great help in the form for Shrishti (Anjum Fakih) and Sammy (Abhishek Kapur), but Mahira’s plan fails badly. Mahira is mistaken for an escort and taken into police custody!

Mahira tries to lock Preeta up

Mahira does not want Preeta to spend time with Karan on Holi, so she locks Preeta up in the storeroom. Shrishti and Preeta manage to come out and make Sherlyn and Mahira fall for the same thing. Preeta and Shrishti, as revenge, lock them up in the storeroom instead and Preeta enjoys quality time with Karan. They have an adorable pillow fight and come closer than ever before.

Preeta’s arrest

Mahira’s plan to kill Preeta does not go accordingly and she ends up hurting herself. Then she falsely accuses Preeta of trying to kill her and the latter is put in jail for the same. While Mahira thinks she can take this opportunity to get closer to Karan, she is annoyed to find that this only brought #PreeRan closer.
