Congratulations are in order for Kundali Bhagya actress Ruhi Chaturvedi! Known for playing the villain Sherlyn on the Zee TV show, Ruhi got engaged to her best friend of 13 years Shivendraa Om Saainiyol on 17 August 2019 in Mumbai. The ceremony was attended by most of her Kundali Bhagya co-stars including Dheeraj Dhoopar, Manit Joura, Abhishek Kapur and Anjum Fakih. Dheeraj’s wife and actress Vinny Arora was seen in attendance too.

Ruhi stunned in a beige embellished lehenga while her beau Shivendraa complemented her in a blue sherwani.

Ruhi Chaturvedi had invited all of her Kundali Bhagya co-stars to her engagement with Shivendraa Om Saainiyol. From the cast, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Anjum Fakih, Manit Joura, Abhishek Kapur and Supriya Shukla made it a point to make their presence felt at the do. Shraddha Arya, who celebrated her 32nd birthday on the same day, 17 August 2019, was missing from the event.

Dheeraj Dhoopar aka Kundali Bhagya’s Karan Luthra shared this picture on Instagram and sent his best wishes to Ruhi Chaturvedi. “Congratulations my girl, shit just got real!,” he wrote.

Vinny Arora, who attended Ruhi Chaturvedi and Shivendraa Om Saainiyol’s engagement with husband Dheeraj Dhoopar, shared this adorable picture of her and Dheeraj kissing Ruhi aka Kundali Bhagya’s Sherlyn on Instagram. “So happy for this girl,” she wrote using the hashtag ladkiwale (team bride).

Posting a bunch of pictures from co-star Ruhi Chaturvedi and Shivendraa Om Saainiyol’s engagement, Kundali Bhagya actress Anjum Fakih wrote on Instagram, “Congratulations @ruhiiiiiiiiii @shivendraa_om_saainiyol sagai ki bohot bohot badhayiyan Mubarakbaad… Dono ki Jodi aise hi bani rahe… Love you both…”

Abhishek Kapur, who essays Sameer Luthra on Kundali Bhagya, congratulated Ruhi Chaturvedi on Instagram, on getting engaged. “To be bride soon Congratulations @ruhiiiiiiiiii wish the best for you always love you,” he wrote using the hashtag ‘to be bride soon.’

Sharing a video from Ruhi Chaturvedi and Shivendraa Om Saainiyol’s engagement function, Supriya Shukla wrote on Instagram, “Ruhi aur shiv..Sagai ki badhai…Rishte ki shuruwat hai…Bandhan ka aagaz hai Raho sada khush saath saath Ashish mera harpal tumhare saath hai @ruhiiiiiiiiii @shivendraa_om_saainiyol Yunhi sadaa khushiyon ko manate raho Nacho gao..Muskurate raho.”

In a conversation with a leading news portal, Ruhi Chaturvedi revealed that marriage was not on cards for her and Shivendraa Om Saainyol. “Shivendraa and I have been friends since 13 years, but the thought of marrying each other never crossed our minds till our families suggested it. My father met his father and things fell into place. So, despite knowing each other for so long, we are getting into an arranged marriage,” she revealed.

Spilling the beans about how they fell in love, Ruhi told the portal, “I had a major crush on him when I had just met him. However, we fell madly in love after our parents decided to get us married. He is totally unlike me — calm, level-headed and simple. That’s what I like the best about him.” Shivendraa stated, “I fell in love with Ruhi because she is an adventurous person. She is also humble and fun to be with. Most importantly, I know that she will hold my hand through thick and thin.”

Many many congratulations to Ruhi and Shivendraa on this new phase of their lives together! Although we have seen her as a bride in an episode when her character Sherlyn Khurrana and Rishab Luthra get married on Kundali Bhagya, we are thrilled to see real-life bridal avatar.
