Lai Bhaari Actor Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Spend Quality Time With Cancer Patients At Tata Memorial Hospital

The couple is seen interacting with a lot of children as well as doctors. They even seemed to have entertained the children with games! International Childhood Cancer Day is celebrated every year on 15th February.

International Childhood Cancer Day is marked on the 15th of February every year since the past 20 years. This day marks the importance of awareness of cancer among children and adolescents and how it can be treated successfully if all stakeholders are more educated on the matter. On this International Childhood Cancer Day, Lai Bhaari actor Riteish Deshmukh and his actress wife Genelia spent time with cancer patients when they visited the Tata Memorial hospital in the city!

The actor took to Instagram to share some pictures of him with the children. The couple is seen interacting with a lot of children as well as doctors. They even seemed to have entertained the kids with games! Take a look at the post:

This is what he wrote in the caption of the post: “Today the 20th International Childhood Cancer Day (ICCD) is being celebrated with the purpose of spreading awareness about the High Curability of Childhood Cancer. Early detection, dedicated treatment can save many lives. @geneliad & I had the pleasure of spending some quality time with this little warriors-the @impacctfoundation & Tata Memorial Hospital have been doing great work- we are happy to be associated with this cause and would request you all to spread awareness & join us in this fight.”

Genelia too shared some pictures from her interaction with the children and encouraged others to “do their bit.” Take a look at her post:

This is what the actress wrote in her post: “Today is International Childhood Cancer Day @riteishd and myself visited Tata Memorial Hospital to meet the kids..These children are fighting life-threatening diseases and when a child is unwell it’s not just the child but the entire family that is broken and in distress..But there is a cure and the doctors and the staff at Tata hospitals and most hospitals are working tirelessly to bring an end to this disease..If you can help spread awareness or help in any way that makes childhood cancer a distance dream, it would truly help.. We did our bit with @impacctfoundation .. Try and do yours and help a child live his/her future❤️❤️❤️”

The couple is parents to two sons, Rahyl and Riaan and often posts their kids pictures on their social media handles. The couple is known to support many issues and increase awareness on several topics like the farmer’s protest, organ donation drive and world animal day!
