Lara Dutta Transforms Into Indira Gandhi For Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor Starrer Bell Bottom! Check Out Video

Many films that were ready to release had been postponed indefinitely due to the ongoing pandemic. One such film was the Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom. However, now that theatres around the world have started opening up, Bell Bottom is gearing up for a theatrical release worldwide on August 19, 2021.

Bell Bottom starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role as an Indian agent is assumed to be one of the biggest releases of the year, with the film getting to release in several movie theatres around the world. Inspired by the real-life hijacking events that occurred in the 1980s in India, Bell Bottom tells the story of an agent trying to save 210 hostages from 4 hijackers. Apart from Akshay, the film will also feature Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi in prominent roles.

Out of these, one of the most significant roles is that of Lara Dutta who plays Indira Gandhi. The actress’ transformation as the veteran politician is one to watch out for. The striking similarities between Dutta and Gandhi’s appearance is truly a gift from the expert makeup artists and prosthetics team of the film. Lara Dutta recently shared a video on her Instagram, sharing a glimpse of this transformation.

Sharing her excitement, the actress wrote, “Never had I imagined portraying a personality this pivotal & when I saw how this transformation translated on the screen, everything felt surreal & worth it. Can’t wait for y’all to watch my performance in #BellBottom on the big screen in 3D on 19th August.”
