Late Irrfan Khan’s Son Babil Khan To Make His Debut With YRF Digitally- Reports

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the theatres were closed so the majority of the filmmakers turned towards the digital platforms for the release of their projects. Yash Raj Films who is successful in entertaining the audience over years on the silver screens is now all set to step into the digital world. Aditya Chopra has launched a separate digital division under his YRF banner to produce content specifically for digital platforms. Yash Raj Films’ first web series will be an investigative thriller.

According to the reports of a leading daily, the web series will feature Babil I Khan, son of late actor Irrfan Khan in the lead role. The upcoming web series is not titled yet, but it will have five-episode in total. It is said to be set in Bhopal and will go on floors this November. Shiv Rawail will sit in the chair of the director, who is the son of Rahul Rawail and grandson of H.S Rawail. The yet-untitled web series will mark Shiv Rawail’s debut as a director in the entertainment industry.

Shiv Rawail was initially supposed to make his digital debut with YRF’s film starring Ajay Devgn, Ahaan Pandey, and Manushi Chhillar in the lead roles. According to the reports of the leading news portal, the film has been pushed indefinitely as the budget does not go well in the current situation. However, the debutant director will get back to the superhero film once he completes Babil I Khan starrer yet-untitled web series next year.

Talking about the investigative thriller web series, Babil I Khan will share the screen space with Bollywood actress, Anushka Sharma. The five-episode web series will surely give a nail-biting experience to the audience that too at their homes. Along with Babil Khan starrer investigate thriller web series, the company is also working on a web series that will be directed by Gopi Puthran.
