The latest Zee Bangla TV serial to arrive on the platform is Kadambini, a drama and biopic about the life of Dr Kadambini Ganguly, who was the first female doctor in Bengal and one of the first in the country! Actor Ushasi Ray, who is known for her portrayal of the willful lead character called Bokul in the Bengali TV show Bokul Kotha, is playing the titular protagonist in Kadambini. In this new serial, we can relive Kadambini’s journey and life right from her early years, before she even thought of pursuing medicine. We get to accompany her  through her personal experiences and get a deeper insight into the lifestyle and social conditions prevalent at the time.

Needless to say, it was not an easy decision to see through at all, but she was dogged and courageous throughout.
