Love, Sleep, Repeat stars Anshuman Malhotra, Priyal Gor, Raima Sen, Priya Banerjee, Harshadaa Vijay, Teena Singh and Puneesh Sharma.

Love, Sleep, Repeat Review | The ZEE5 Original web series stars Anshuman Malhotra, Priyal Gor, Raima Sen, Priya Banerjee, Harshadaa Vijay, Teena Singh, and Puneesh Sharma. Produced by Rashmi Sharma, Love, Sleep, Repeat has been adapted from Anmol Rana’s best-selling novel 7 Days Without You. Dolly ki Doli director Abhishek Dogra has helmed the project. The seven-episodes narrate the story of a naive, cute and innocent Vishwas Sharma who leaves his small town Panchgani to move to Pune. He happily escapes the over-possessive clutches of his mother and childhood best friend Shailja. However, he has no idea what turn his life is going to take from thereon.

The seven different episodes feature seven girls who enter and impact Vishwas’ life. The ZEE5 Original is a coming of age story, resonating strongly with the youth audience. Vishwas is a loveable and cute character through whom we get to experience the moments and adventures of his journey. This storyline is unique in itself as the time duration of Vishwas’ journey is seven days during which seven girls teach him a lesson sorely needed. Fun, laughter, thrill you name it, Vishwas goes through hell and back till he comes to realize that what he has been seeking throughout was always around.

Anshuman Malhotra may be the fresh face on the block, but that doesn’t reflect in his performance as Vishwas for sure. Also seen in The Final Call, Anshuman as a central character of the story dishes out a heartfelt and honest performance as Vishwas. He falls, he picks himself up, he takes a leap of faith and continues to love, sleep, repeat no matter how many times he is wronged. Anshuman’s ever-smiling, charming personality makes him a perfect fit to play the role.

Priyal Gor as the clingy best friend Shailja is beyond. The chemistry shared between her and Anshuman comes across as very organic and natural that one would assume they are besties in real life too. Raima Sen has been around longer than perhaps any other star in the series. She essays Sanjana, adding an interesting layer to Vishwas’ life while keeping us hooked on to her transfixing act. Priya Banerjee, Harshadaa Vijay, Teena Singh, Musskan Sethi, and Shruti all have been given enough space to fly solo. Each of these actresses adds sugar and spice to the story in equal measure. Puneesh Sharma is seen in an integral character, and we must say we are pretty impressed with his chops!

Besides a beautiful star cast, director Dogra uses minimal yet winning locations and setup to add meat to the material. The journey begins from the scenic beauty of Panchgani, moving on to cute office spaces and more. The scenes, however, might seem confusing at first with the girls entering and exiting simultaneously, but enjoyable nonetheless.

The background score is simply superb. The songs Phirse Pyaar Hua and Nasha are a perfect add-on to the already crisp storyline. Sharad Tripathi Sameer Joshi’s screenplay and dialogues coupled with Nitin Pathak’s editing all work towards creating an enigma.

Watch it for the novelty, a love saga with a twist!
