Madhuri Dixit and her husband Dr. Nene shared pictures of the couple bidding their son Arin, adieu for higher studies in the US

An overwhelmed and proud, Madhuri Dixit recently shared her son Arin’s pictures upon joining the university of Southern California. The campus photographs are lovely but you cannot for once forget how worried the parents would be to have their elder son “leaving the nest”. Dr. Nene too, shared photos on his Instagram handle one with him and Arin and another with the whole family sending off their eldest. Sharing the post, Dr Nene wrote, “Am so excited for Arin starting college. Give great thanks to all the educators before and the ones now, who have been great mentors and teachers. Proud to be the father of a Trojan! Look forward to his lifelong learning. #StraightFromTheHeart #FamilyIsEverything #DrNene.”

University of Southern California is a home ground for a lot of Bollywood celebrity kids. The most famous of the lot, Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was one of the starkids who graduated from Southern California, in film studies. Singer Shaan’s son Sohum too is from the same university pursuing a dual major in music and law. While that should have eased Madhuri’s anxiety considerably, mother of the 1-8year old Arin is still one tenterhook. For her, letting her baby go to the university was a big step and she spoke extensively about her on her YouTube channel too. Letting her baby go, was certainly no easy on Mumma Nene.

But the family had a lot of support from their fans. The amount of comments pouring in for Arin must have really warmed the parents’ hearts. Each and every one of them had congratulatory comments and pride pouring for their favourite girl’s eldest boy! Some wrote, “Congratulations on your next move in life, as a parent seeing a child off to university is the hardest but the proudest time. Good luck,” another wrote, “That’s awesome! Congratulations Arin!”

Work-wise, Madhuri was last seen in Kalank. The film was directed by Abhishek Verman and hosted an ensemble star cast including, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha and Sanjay Dutt. It received mixed reviews from the audience and the critics alike.
