Majha Hoshil Na: Why The Current Track Reminds Us Of Kareena Kapoor-Akshaye Khanna’s Hit Film, Hulchul!

In Majha Hoshil Na, a lot of drama is unfolding on the show lately. With Bandhu Mama and Gullu Maushi’s secret marriage out, a rift has been created among the Brahmes. This has led to the couple leaving their home, putting Sai and Aditya in a dilemma. The current track of the show is actually reminding us a lot of Kareena Kapoor and Akshaye Khanna’s film Hulchul, where a similar situation led to the fallout of  the Chands.

Hulchul is a comedy-drama with a stellar ensemble cast and an entertaining storyline. It is similar to what is happening on Majha Hoshil Na right now and we’re loving it. In the film, a man named Angar Chand played by Amrish Puri, swears to never let any woman enter his house after a bitter experience with a woman named Laxmi.

He reminds us of Dada mama, who was also against women after his wife Sindhu ruined his life and took away his happiness. Much like Angar Chand, even Dada mama was of the opinion that women only bring misery in life. Due to their rigid mindset, both Angar’s sons as well as Dada mama’s brothers did not married and remained single.

Then came a twist in their lives when the youngest son of Angar, Jai, fell in love with Laxmi’s granddaughter. The couple wanted to get married but knew their families will never accept this marriage. That is why Jai tried to convince his elder brothers to get married first. Much to his shock, he discovered that his brother Kishan is already married! In fact, he has two children also.

Doesn’t it remind you of Bandhu mama, who was also secretly married to Gulpreet Maushi and has a son with her? However, the situation is a bit reversed here. Aditya is already married to Sai, and Dada mama has accepted her. That is why seeing them, Bandhu mama decided to reveal his marriage as well, but Dada mama berated him.

In Hulchul, when Angar found out about his son’s marriage, he kicked him out of the house. Whereas, in Majha Hoshil Na, Bandhu mama voluntarily chose to leave the house. Just like Angar who got angry at Jai for supporting their marriage, Dada mama too got angry at Aditya for supporting Bandhu mama’s marriage.
