Mallika Sherawat Opens Up About Doing Bold Scenes In Movies; Says, ‘Women Are Always Targeted, Not The Men’

Mallika Sherawat who made her debut in Khwahish later became identical with kissing scenes and lovemaking scenes. In a recent interview with a leading daily, Mallika Sherawat opened up about her views on a patriarchal society. She went on to say that men can get away with doing the same things that women are pulled up for. She recalled how she was treated by the media for doing bold scenes in films, while nobody asked the male actors anything. Mallika threw light on how she was bullied back then for the bold scenes she shot for the movies.

She also added that men walk away with everything, and it is the women who get blamed for everything they do. The actress also added that the mindset of the people has changed over the years. Not only the media but even society is very supportive towards women today. For the unversed, the actress was slammed for her bold content. Her 17 smooches in her first movie or her bold scenes in films like Emraan Hashmi starrer Murder caught her in the wrong frame by the netizens.

The actress speaks about how only she has been targeted and not her male co-stars like Emraan Hashmi or Rahul Bose. While talking about the same she said that in the patriarchal system always the women are always targeted, not the men. Not only in India, but that’s all over the world, Mallika said. Men walk away with everything, they can get away with everything is what she feels. She is in wonder that this system is carried more in India. Mallika Sherawat also thinks the society wasn’t evolved, people would think differently.

Actresses now are doing frontal nudity and it’s accepted, it’s considered very artistic.
