Mamakiki’s story revolves around the lives of four college buddies, who meet at a reunion and share their journeys with each other.

The trailer of the long-awaited film Mamakiki, directed by G Radhakrishnan, has finally hit the web and we can’t wait to watch the film. You’re probably wondering if you would have to wait until lockdown ends to catch this film in the theatres. As a matter of fact, the waiting period is less than 10 days.

Not the end of lockdown. Sorry. That’s in the hands of the government.

But Mamakiki is all set for a digital-only release on OTT platform ZEE5 by the end of this month. Judging by the current lockdown situation, we may see more filmmakers migrating to the digital space to premiere their movies.

Mamakiki will premiere directly on ZEE5 on May 30, 2020. In the meantime, check out the trailer of the film, launched on social media by veteran actor R Madhavan.

Visscom students and graduates from film schools will totally be able to relate to the situation in this trailer. In the trailer, we see that Mani (played by RJ Ramesh) is narrating a script to a director Nalan Kumaraswamy. But the fun fact is that Mani, instead of narrating the story and presenting the idea for how to go about this, is giving the director the storyboard of the film. He explains the director about which character will have how much screen space and when would be their entry in the film.

While Mani tells the director about the elements (like romance, comedy, drama, emotions, etc) to make the film a super hit; he still hasn’t told him about the whole story. At the end of the trailer, the frustrated filmmaker asks him to narrate the story. Looks like we are going to have a laughter riot with this one!

Mamakiki, starring RJ Ramesh Thilak and filmmaker Nalan Kumaraswamy, is touted to be a romantic-comedy. The story of the film revolves around the lives of four college buddies. These four friends, who meet at a reunion after five long years, share the experiences with each other. The cast also features Preetha Anandan, Maanas Chavali along with Swaminathan, late Cheenu Mohan, and Madhuvanti Arun in supporting roles.

Actor Madhavan, who launched the trailer of Mamakiki in the digital space, stated that the film’s plot reminded him of his college days. Check out his post, launching the trailer of the film.
