Megastar Chiranjeevi resumes filming for his upcoming film Godfather in Ooty

The wait is finally over as Telugu superstar – Chiranjeevi has started the shooting of his upcoming film – Godfather in Ooty. Godfather is a political thriller drama which is directed by Mohan Raja and is produced by RB Choudary in association with NV Prasad. The film also stars, his son and superstar Ram Charan.

Currently, in Ooty, the megastar Chiranjeevi has started work on his titular role in the movie. Earlier, a motion poster was released where Chiranjeevi was featured with back towards the camera in Silhouette effect. Chiranjeevi was seen donning an overcoat. According to the reports, Nayanthara and Satyadev are also playing crucial roles in Godfather, which also happens to be the 153rd film of the Telugu superstar.

According to Konidela Pro Company’s Twitter account, the production of Godfather has resumed. The film was revealed on megastar Chiranjeevi’s birthday, that is August 22nd, as a gift to the megastar’s admirers. The very first part of Godfather was filmed in Hyderabad, and it is the second part that has now begun in Ooty, according to the movie’s producers.

Currently, Chiranjeevi is also working with the Koratala Siva for ‘Acharya’ where Kajal Aggarwal is in the lead actress role. Godfather is a remake of the Malayalam political thriller drama ‘Lucifer’ which was directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, written by Murali Gopy.

The film is produced by Konidela Pro Company and Super good Films.  Earlier, the director of Saaho Sujeeth was to be the director, but he himself backed out because of creative differences. Music in the film is tuned by S Thaman and cinematography by Nirav Shah.
