Mental health alert: Did you know Will Smith once contemplated suicide?
HollywoodWill Smith, one of America’s favorite entertainers, has revealed about his past that he thought about “suicide” and talked about mental health for his new fitness docu-series ‘Best Shape of My Life’.
Willard Carroll Smith Jr., an American actor, rapper, and film producer, opened up about his mental health for his new fitness docu-series ‘Best Shape of My Life’. He shared that at one point in my life that I had considered suicide as the only option I have left with. In a conversation, he has been open about his past, about his own battles with mental health issues.
Will has spoken out about his anxiousness, saying on Red Table Talk, ‘There’s a shame.” There is remorse. There is a sense of melancholy. There is some ambiguity. And then you don’t want to talk about it because you’re like, I feel insane for feeling this way, and I don’t want people to think I’m crazy, so I’m just going to keep quiet.’
Later, he added that ‘When he started this show, he thought he was getting into the best shape of his life physically, but mentally, he was somewhere else. He ended up discovering a whole lot of hidden things about himself,’ Smith says in the trailer.

For his new fitness docu-series “Best Shape of My Life,” Mr. Smith has something to say regarding his mental health. He admitted that he had pondered suicide at one time in his life, but he isn’t afraid to admit it now.
Smith also stated that when writing his memoir, he felt compelled to reveal aspects of his life that most people are unaware of.’ The series follows that he attempts to lose 20 lbs in 20 weeks, but he quickly realizes that his inner self is far more than his outer self.
