Watch the latest episode of the Punjabi TV serial Tu Patang Main Dor here:

The Punjabi serial starts with Kirpal Singh paying his respects at the Gurudwara Sahib. He prays for the betterment of the world and his family. Later, Aman and Surjan are listening to a cricket match commentary on a transistor and India wins. In the night, they are celebrating with fireworks and dancing. Aman and Surjan are dancing and Kirpal is watching them. He says: “Kedi jeet da jashn mana rahe hai eh log? Aapneya toh jeet ke vi khush reh paya hai koi? Assi ta jeete vi khudh toh ha…te haare vi kudh toh”.

2. When Kirpal felt Zarina's pain

Kirpal was unhappy with the fact that Indians were celebrating their win against Pakistan. And on the other side, a hopeful Zarina expected food from her stepmother, Jamila, which was not forthcoming. While doing her chores, Zarina couldn’t control her tears and started crying. Miraculously, Kirpal felt her pain and said to himself: “Aaj fir uss paar toh sili-sili hawa aaudi payi hai. Lagda hai kisi de naina cho hanjuwa da meeh varda paiya hai“.

3. Love, from miles away

Aman knows that Kirpal has only one desire, to meet his Ilma before dying. Aman gets Kripal’s letter. He reads it and can’t believe that two individuals can love each other so much. He asks Kirpal about this, who says: “Jado pyaar ibadat ban jaanda hai na, ta tusi akele nahi honde. Thuwada rab warga yaar, thuwade naal na vi hove na, ta vi uda har khyaal, har ehsaass… parchave de tarah… thuwade naal rehnda hai.

4. When Kirpal tries to explain to Amrit

Aman’s mother Amrit is very caring and protective. She assures everyone in the family that she will find the perfect bride for Aman. One day, Kirpal tries to explain to Amrit that Aman is now a grown-up boy and she should consider his dreams and aspirations. Amrit says that since she’s his mother, she knows the best for him. After Amrit leaves, Kirpal says: “Kive samajhava is maa nu ki fikar karna kuch hor honda hai…te kisi di khushi vekhna kuch aur gal hondi hai. Oh khushi jedi us ne sirf aape hi pata hondi hai. Waheguru kare ki iss maa nu mere aman nu samanje wich koi dikat nahi aave.

5. When Kirpal Singh consoles Diyal Singh

Aman decides to cross the border and find Ilma. However, he gets saved by Surjan from getting killed by the BSF soldiers. When Aman’s family finds out about it, Kirpal slaps him hard. Aman hugs him in tears saying that he can’t watch him in such a situation. The next day Aman’s father Diyal Singh (Satnam Kang) comes to Kirpal and bursts out in tears. He apologises for not thinking about him and his aspirations. Diyal says that what Aman did is what they should have done for him. Kirpal consoles him and tells him that he is not unhappy with his life, or with his family. Kirpal is proud of his family and he says, “Iss duniya vich na kisi nu vi saara kuch nahi milda”.

These are some words by Kirpal that can actually make you think. Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
