Mumbai Police star Prithviraj shares a picture with Mohanlal and fans can’t keep calm

It’s been almost two years since actor Prithviraj Sukumaran made his directorial debut and fans have been eagerly waiting for the next ever since. His debut venture featured superstar Mohanlal in the lead and it became one of the biggest runaway hits of Malayalam in recent years. Ever since its makers announced a sequel titled Empuraan, fans of both the Mollywood stars have been going crazy. Mumbai Police star Prithviraj recently decided to add to the hype by posting a picture with Mohanlal himself.

Earlier he had informed fans that if everything goes right, the highly ambitious movie will hit big screens in 2021. Now, it seems like fans would have to be content with Prithviraj’s selfie with Mohanlal till then. Prithviraj, who also played Mohanlal’s sidekick in Lucifer, wrote a dialogue from his directorial as caption to the picture which read, “Bas ek ishaara bhaijaan… bas ek!”

Only a couple of weeks ago, the actor-director had shared that he was working with scriptwriter Murali Gopy to get the new movie underway. Prithviraj posted a picture on his Instagram with the caption- “Probably the day I first “saw” Empuraan. When your writer’s design starts forming an edited, colour corrected shape in your mind! I cannot wait to get this started… as much as a fan… as a filmmaker!”

Prithviraj’s Lucifer was one of Malayalam’s biggest movies in recent years as it also featured Mohanlal actor Indrajith Sukumaran, Kalki star Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Company star Vivek Oberoi and Saniya Iyyappan. Meanwhile fans are patiently waiting for the next part, Prithviraj will grace big screens in Kuruthi while Mohanlal is currently shooting for B Unnikrishnan’s Aaraattu.
