Nassar’s birthday special: Revisiting Iddaramayilatho, the film that had him playing the coolest father ever

Celebrated actor Nassar marks his birthday today! While the actor has a plethora of films to his credit, one of the best roles that we loved seeing Nassar play was Mr Reddy in the movie Iddarammayilatho, starring Amala Paul, Catherine Teresa, and Allu Arjun. Nassar played the role of an open-minded father to Allu Arjun, who was one of the best human beings that you would ever meet. Here is why we think that we need more people like him!

Mr Reddy did not mind explaining to Komali’s father that inter-caste marriages also last long and make for healthy relationships. He did not judge her father for not knowing it right away or having a different mindset. He was extremely accommodating of Komali’s parents even when their backgrounds were different.

He respects people’s decisions and one of the main examples of this is when he assures Komali’s parents that he will not ask Komali to touch non-veg food ever. He told them that they will always eat it out so that their daughter is always comfortable with the food choices at home. After all, little things matter, don’t they?

He is patient with people, just like he kept up with Komali’s father when he was constantly berating Sanju. He did not try to contest him because he understood where the anger was coming from. He took his time with Komali’s family and made them feel extremely comfortable.

We also think that he is a very fun person to be around since he was absolutely cool with Sanju and his choices of lifestyle. Sanju is a musician despite being an engineer but his father supports it and understands that music is what makes his child happy. We would love to have more people like Mr. Reddy, who make this world a little more fun to be in!
