NCB Arrests Firoz Nadiadwala’s Wife Shabana Following Recovery Of Drugs, Producer Summoned

After actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, the connection of several Bollywood celebrities to drug consumption and distribution was investigated by the Narcotics Control Bureau(NCB). Recently, NCB organised a raid at the famous film producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s house. NCB arrested Firoz’s wife Shabana Saeed from his house. NCB also summoned the producer and would be questioning him regarding the same drug probe.

Nadiadwala lives in a bungalow in Juhu, Mumbai. On 8 November, NCB organised a raid at the producer’s bungalow and searched the house for hours. They also questioned the people inside the house. After the raid, NCB arrested Nadiadwala’s wife Shabana Saeed. The producer was not at home when NCB visited his house. NCB also summoned Firoz for questioning.

The NCB officials also recovered 10 grams of ganja (marijuana) from the producer’s house. On Sunday, Sameer Wankhede, the zonal director of NCB confirmed Shabana’s arrest. They also said that they will issue a press release regarding the same. On Saturday, 7 November, NCB organised raids in different areas of Navi Mumbai. They arrested 4 drug peddlers and a high amount of drugs was recovered during these raids. During the questioning of these drug peddlers, Firoz Nadiadwala’s name was revealed. NCB has been investigating Bollywood and drug connections for a long time now.

NCB also summoned Deepika Padukone’s former manager Karishma Prakash recently. She was a part of a talent agency in Mumbai and used to handle Deepika’s accounts. Earlier, Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Sara Ali Khan were questioned by the NCB officials in the Bollywood drug probe. They were summoned after alleged chats of Deepika asking for drugs went viral. Deepika Padukone was grilled by the NCB officials for five and a half hours when she visited the NCB guest house. The talent management agency KWAN’s name was also revealed during the Bollywood drug probe investigations. Earlier, Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty was also arrested by the NCB in the drug probe. While Rhea was out on bail, her brother is still in police custody.  Even after applying for a bail plea twice, Showik’s bail was rejected by the court.
