Zee Marathi‘s Agga Bai Sasubai is a family drama based on the life of a middle-aged couple Abhijeet and Asawari. The show has garnered popularity owing to the progressive content paired with stellar performances by the star cast. One of them includes Nivedita Saraf who has brought the lead character of Asawari to life and that too, with perfection. Before Agga Bai Sasubai, Nivedita featured in a number of Hindi and Marathi films, plays, and TV shows. However, the most memorable film that she was part of was Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi. And the actress seems to agree! Nivedita recently confessed her love for the film through her Instagram post.

The actress went on a trip down memory lane by sharing a throwback picture of the Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi cast. Through the caption, Nivedita confessed that though she has watched the film countless times, she still continues to enjoy it. The Agga Bai Sasubai actress got nostalgic and revealed that she never thought that this film would create history. Nivedita wrote that she’s proud to be part of such an iconic film. The actress was overwhelmed with emotions and mentioned that she misses Vasant Sabnis, Laxmikant Berde, Sudhir Joshi, Viju Khote, and others who are currently not amongst us. Released in the year 1988, the film was a massive hit at the box office. The evergreen movie will complete 32 years this year. Interestingly, Nivedita’s husband Ashok Saraf plays one of the leads in the film along with Sachin Pilgaonkar, Laxmikant Berde, and Sushant Ray.
