Noorpur Ki Rani: Watch The Transformation From Rags To Riches In This Brilliant Drama

Never ceasing to entertain you, India’s largest OTT platform has dropped six new series with unique stories. To ensure that you have a lovely #SummerOfEmotions, ZEE brings an untold tale for you to unveil. Starring actors Sanam Baloch, Mahnoor Baloch, Noman Ijaz and Samina Peerzada in lead roles, Noorpur Ki Rani is a drama series, about an emotional girl named Noorulain Aneez aka Noorie. Directed by Haissam Hussain, the story is based on the English novel Rebecca, by Daphne Du Maurier aka Lady Browning. Read on to know more about Noorie’s transformation from rags to riches.

The title track of the show “Kaath wale ghar ko chhod ke, mehelon mein jaa basegi”, sums up Noorie’s life in a single line. Noorulain Aneez, a dusky-skinned girl, lives a life full of struggles and sorrows but has an optimistic world-view always. After her parents pass away, she lives with her uncle and aunt, but unfortunately, her uncle dies as well. Noorie’s aunt resembles the step-mother of poor Cinderella. She always criticises her for reading books and dreaming big. One day, Noorie’s aunt leaves her in an orphanage.

Shehzaadi Rania is a princess and owns a royal palace. Her governess is Anna, portrayed by veteran actress Samina Peerzada. When Rania visits Noori’s orphanage, she is mesmerised to see her beauty and perfection. Rania has everything carved out for her, lives in a huge palace but craves for her husband’s love and attention. Noorie begins to dream of having a life like her.

Her hope for a better future takes form when Shahida sends Noorie from the orphanage to Akbar’s house. He tries to molest her there, and she breaks apart. Summoning her strength with great difficulty, Noorie starts going to school and educating herself. But she fails her exams due to the demeaning behaviour of Sonia. Noorie then befriends a young man named Naufil, who she had misunderstood earlier. As time passes by, she lands in Rania’s palace and meets her father, essayed by the experienced actor Qavi Khan.

It is revealed that Rania and her father wanted to adopt a male child, whom they would bring up and educate so that he would be the heir of their property. But after a little hesitation, Noorie is accepted by them and educated and groomed. Noorie ends up marrying Salar whereas Naufil is in love with her. Amid the confusion, she goes through pregnancy, separation, revelation and reunion.
