OMG! This famous actress joins Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer

There are many actors in Hollywood and across the globe who want to work with Christopher Nolan. And not everyone gets a chance to work with this perfectionist director. In this context, The Edge of Tomorrow star Emily Blunt has been roped in by Christpher Nolan for his upcoming picture ‘Oppenheimer’. Emily will star opposite Cillian Murphy in the Universal project J. Robert Oppenheimer, the theoretical physicist who is remembered as one of the fathers of the atomic bomb. 

Oppenheimer will be written and directed by Nolan, and is based on Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin’s book “American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer.” This Pulitzer Prize-winning book was published in 2005.

A star cast and brilliant team 

Cillian Murphy of Peaky Blinders fame has been cast in the lead role. The actor-director duo has previously collaborated on successful projects such as Batman Begins, Inception,and Dunkirk.

Hoyte Van Hoytema, who previously worked with Nolan on films such as Tenet, Dunkirk, and Interstellar, will serve as the film’s director of photography, while Jennifer Lame, who previously worked with the director on Tenet, will serve as the film’s editor. In this new project, Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson (Tenet) will also collaborate with Nolan.

Christopher Nolan also co-wrote and produced the film alongside Emma Thomas and Charles Roven of Atlas Entertainment. Universal Pictures, will finance and distribute it which had won the rights to this $100 million film in a bidding war that included Paramount, Sony, and Warner Bros.

This upcoming film is being billed as an epic thriller that will immerse fans in the heart-pounding dilemma of an enigmatic man who must risk destroying the planet to rescue it. The release date has been set on July 21, 2023. With such a large budget and production, the stakes are really high. From a director like Christopher Nolan, we can all expect something exceptional.
