Paresh Rawal Birthday: A Look At His Inspiring Journey In Bollywood

Paresh Rawal is one of those Bollywood actors who is very famous for the different roles he has played in various films. He has not only made a name for himself as an actor but also as a director, comedian as well as a politician. He is majorly known for his comic roles in Bollywood films and has even become synonymous with the name ‘Babu Rao’ from Hera Pheri. As the eminent actor celebrated his birthday on Sunday, let us take a look at how he became a star in Bollywood.

The actor was born in Mumbai to a Gujarati family in the year 1955. After finishing his studies, he was aiming to become an engineer but then ended up joining the film industry. He worked very hard before beginning his work in the Indian film industry as an actor. Not many people know this but he used to work in a bank before stepping into Bollywood to star in films.

Paresh Rawal made his Bollywood debut in the year 1984 with the film Holi. He then went on to star in a film titled Arjun however he rose to prominence only after his film Naam came out. After this film, he starred in back to back blockbusters such as Kabzaa, King Uncle, Ram Lakhan, Daud, Judaai, Baazi and more. Even though Paresh Rawal is now known for comic roles, he has also played the role of an antagonist in several films. He was widely appreciated for portraying the role of a villain as well. In the span of his illustrious career, Paresh Rawal has starred in over 200 films and has won several accolades for his work.

Coming to his personal life, Paresh Rawal got married to former Miss India, Swaroop Sampat. She is a model as well as an actress. They first met when they were in college and Rawal fell in love with her immediately. Cut to now, the couple has two children. His elder son Aditya Rawal made his Bollywood film debut last year with Anurag Kashyap’s film Bamfaad. His younger son Anirudh Rawal, on the other hand, has worked as an assistant director in Salman Khan’s film Sultan.
