Paul Rudd has been awarded PEOPLE’s’sexiest man alive’ for 2021

Paul Rudd, the amiable actor best known for his role as Ant-Man, was crowned the sexiest man alive by People magazine, joining the ranks of Idris Elba, George Clooney, and Bradley Cooper. Rudd, 52, whose career spans 30 years, and his wife were both caught away by the distinction.

Rudd first appeared like the kind boyfriend of Lisa Kudrow’s wacky Phoebe on the TV comedy Friends, and then went on to bigger roles in comedies like Knocked Up before starring in the Marvel superhero film Ant-Man, which was followed by a sequel and appearances in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame. Rudd, who has two children, will next be seen in the films Ghostbusters: Afterlife and The Shrink Next Door on television.

Last year’s sexiest man alive was actor Michael B. Jordan, who was followed by John Legend and Idris Elba in 2019 and 2018.

Rudd joked that now that he has gotten the yearly title, he expects his life to alter drastically.

However, Paul, who has risen to superstardom in recent years, claims he is happiest at home with his wife of 18 years, Julie, and his two children, Jack, 17, and Darby, 12. He stated, “When he thinks about himself as a spouse and a parent like he is.” “When he’s not working, he basically hangs around with his family.” That’s the thing he enjoys the most.”

What was his wife’s reaction to the news? “She was stunned,” Paul remarked. She was, however, quite kind about it. ‘Oh, they got it right,’ she added after some chuckling and amazement. And that was a very nice touch. What was she going to say if she wasn’t speaking the truth?” Paul said he expects his life to alter now that he’s officially “attractive.” He’s hoping that now is the time he’ll be asked to some of those sultry meals with Clooney, Pitt, and B. Jordan. I’ll be on a lot more yachts with him.

He’s thrilled to see how far he can take my sailing career. And he’ll definitely strive to improve his brooding skills in dim light. He enjoys thinking about things. He believes that this will help me become more mysterious and introspective. And he’s looking forward to that, he said with a laugh.
