PM Modi Decides To Repeal Farm Laws; Bollywood Actors Kangana Ranaut, Taapsee Pannu And Richa Chadha Among Others React

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, November 19, announced that the government has decided to repeal the three farm laws. The decision was welcomed by all, from politicians to film actors. Lauding PM Modi’s decision, Bollywood celebrities including Taapsee Pannu, Richa Chadha, Himanshi Khurana, Kangana Ranaut, and others took to their social media and voiced their opinion on the same.

Taapsee was among the first to praise the decision. She also wished everyone on the occasion of Gurunanak Jayanti. Sharing the video of the news on her Twitter account, the Rashmi Rocket actress wrote, “Also….. Gurpurab diyaan sab nu vadhaiyaan”.

Actress Richa Chadha took to her Twitter handle to call PM’s decision the farmers’ victory. She wrote, “Jeet gaye aap! Aap ki jeet sab ki jeet hai (You’ve won. You win is everyone’s win).”

Sonu Sood took to his social media account and wrote “This is a wonderful news! Thank you, @narendramodi ji, @PMOIndia , for taking back the farm laws. Thank you, farmers, for raising just demands through peaceful protests. Hope you will happily return to be with your families on the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji today.”

Kangana Ranaut shared a tweet of a person about the repeal, on her Instagram and wrote, “Sad, shameful, absolutely unfair. If people on the streets have started to make laws and not the chosen government in the Parliament, then even this is a jihadi nation. Congratulations to all who wanted it like this.”

Himanshi Khurana took to her Instagram handle and congratulated all the farmers. While doing so she wrote, “Finally victory is yours, many congratulations to all the farmers. A big gift of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Prakash Parv. Happy Gurpurab.”

PM Modi announced that the government has decided to repeal the three farm laws. Addressing the nation on the occasion of the Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev, PM Modi said that in the coming Parliament session, the center will take constitutional measures to repeal these farm laws. PM also said that the government is committed to the welfare of farmers, adding that the government has brought several welfare schemes for small farmers.
