Power star Pawan Kalyan to grace the pre-release event of Sai Dharam Tej’s Republic

Dev Katta’s ‘Republic’ is all set to be released on the big screens on October 1, 2021. The upcoming political thriller drama is stealing all the limelight with its trailer and promotional events. According to the latest reports, the megastar Pawan Kalyan will be spotted as the chief guest for the pre-release event of the Republic.

The makers of this upcoming grand project took to Twitter to announce Pawan Kalyan’s name as the Chief Guest, posting a “power update” for the power actor. Sai Dharam Tej and Aishwarya Rajesh starrer Republic will be released a few days after the pre-release event in Hyderabad on the 25th of September.  

On September 10, Sai Dharam Tej, the lead actor in this production was involved in a motorcycle accident. He soon had to be admitted in the ICU with assisted breathing but is no longer in danger. Pertaining to the fact that he is still in the hospital, the rest of the film’s cast and crew will attend the pre-release event in his place.  

Republic was intended to premiere sooner but owing to the pandemic, it was postponed. The movie, according to the reports, was about to release digitally on OTT platforms but then settled for theatrical distribution. Sai Dharam Tej will portray a young IAS officer in the movie, who battles head-to-head against corruption. The recent trailer launch by the megastar Chiranjeevi has created a reasonable amount of buzz on social media in favor of Republic.

Since SDJ is still recovering in the hospital, Pawan Kalyan, his uncle, has taken it as his responsibility to be a part of the pre-release event. Dev Katta, the director of Republic, also posted a separate tweet, thanking Pawan Kalyan for accepting this request. Sai Dharam Tej’s most recent film was Solo Brathuke So Better, which was released in 2020. Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rajesh will star in the Tamil version of the Malayalam film The Great Indian Kitchen, which has yet to be given a title.
