Prema Entha Madhuram: Raghupati and his sister couldn’t pass off the toxic traits to their children, and we’re glad

When it comes to admirable friendships, we can’t help but think of Anu and Ramya from Prema Entha Madhuram. The duo beats all odds to be together and it can be said that they are indeed soul-sisters. One of the biggest challenges for their friendship, however, is Ramya’s mother and maternal uncle Raghupati.

Raghupati has to be one of the most cunning people in the locality that they stay in. He also has no boundaries and doesn’t think twice before invading someone’s personal space. He also has a shallow mind and often judges Anu for doing well in life. He even went to the lengths of calling Anu pregnant in front of several people because she fell unconscious at the office. He says that this is the result of her roaming with Arya and Neel.

His sister, who happens to be Ramya’s mother, wants to transfer these values to Ramya as well as Raghupati’s son. But thankfully, their children refuse to be like them. Ramya is certainly open mined and encourages Anu in whatever she does. Her support is the reason why Anu is stress-free and happy in life.

Raghupati also does not shy away from manhandling Ramya when he sees fit, which is inappropriate. It was very easy for their children to learn from them and incorporate these traits, but they chose to be compassionate and understanding, unlike their parents. That certainly is very mature and commendable.
