Priyanka Chopra Backs Sonu Sood’s ‘Ask For Free’ Education Initiative For Kids Losing Parents To COVID-19

The citizens of India are battling through a horrid COVID-19 situation in India. With the second wave hitting some time ago, the nation has been undergoing the toughest of times. Countless people are losing their loved ones as they succumb to the illness, leaving many kids orphaned too. Bollywood actor Sonu Sood recently appealed for children, who are losing their parents to COVID-19, to receive free education, to the Indian government. And actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas is in full support of this move.

Numerous kids have been orphaned due to COVID-19 this year. Looking out for their lives and future, actor Sonu Sood had recently shared a video talking about what can be done to help them. Sonu spoke about how several kids, who lost both their parents during this terrifying pandemic of COVID-19, need a chance to secure their future. This can be done through education, but the loss of parents and the economic factors that follow, stand a chance to destroy the chances of this security.

Thus, he appealed to the Indian government, state governments, educational institutions and everyone else who could help with it, to come up with rules that would ensure that such kids are given education without a cost. He stated that rules for free-of-cost education from their schooling to college should be formed by officials who have the authority to do so.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, an international celebrity, has promptly shown support to this cause, which she considers is truly critical. She addressed Sonu’s ahead-of-the-time thinking and praised his ability to offer solution-based suggestions along with the same. Priyanka also said she was inspired by his observation.

Further, she urged those who were not a part of the government of India, to take efforts to make a strong impact on behalf of this appeal by Sonu. And in complete support of Sonu, Priyanka added that she would work towards supporting the cause. This was due to her belief, that it is a birthright for every child to receive an education.
