Within a short span of time, Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal has managed to win over a large fan following. While many adore the light-hearted family drama for its story, some love the almost perfect characters. From the most adorable Lakshmi to the cute and friendly Pavithra, each of the show’s characters has a warm heart and it is enriching to watch them go about their lives. Sharing their characteristics and ideologies, often we get to see some truly wholesome moments and Pavithra teaching Santhosh how to make tea was one of them.
Check out what’s happening in Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal:
Santhosh is a loving husband and an even better son. He loves Pavithra and his mother alike and we love his quirky behaviour too. Although, not self-acclaimed or critical in the matter, Santhosh is a supporter of gender equality and we have seen glimpses of the same in the past few weeks. Recently, we saw Pavithra manage to get him to the kitchen and teach him how to make his own tea and it was fulfilling to watch.
Even though it was outright funny to watch him play his way around the process of making ginger tea, it was an eye-opener for many at the same time. Although a supporter of equality, it was surprising that Santhosh never tried his hand in cooking his own food and Pavithra, being the sensible one had to take it up. She decided to stop letting him bother Lakshmi for tea and thus decided to teach him to make it on his own.

Now, we all know that someone like Thatha wouldn’t understand the value of the same. Being from the older generation who believes that the household chores is for women, Thatha would never voluntarily step inside the kitchen. However, Santhosh was a sport about the same and decided to have some fun while learning the process. Having taught him how to make the tea, Pavithra tells him that he could help his mother with such little things in the kitchen and being the ideal person, he agrees to it.
Later, we all see how happy Lakshmi becomes knowing that the tea was made by Santhosh. She became proud and happy for her son was too beautiful to watch. In today’s age, it is unacceptable that many men still believe that the household chores are the women’s job. Santhosh’s decision to learn how to cook is something everyone can take inspiration from and accept as a norm. Apart from the fact that he made his wife and mother happy, he can also be proud that he became a little more independent having learnt how to make his own tea.
