R Madhavan Directorial Rocketry: The Nambi Effect To Release On October 22, 2022; Announces The Director

Ever since the Chief Minister of Maharashtra had announced that the theatres in the state will reopen from October 22, 2021, the filmmakers are announcing the date of release of their films. Now, joining others is an actor turned director R Madhavan. His directorial film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect will be released on April 1, 2022. This film marks the debut of R Madhavan as a director. He will be playing the lead role in the film.

R Madhavan took to his Instagram account and shared a poster of the film in which the date of release was mentioned to be April 1, 2022. Taking to his Instagram post he wrote, “We are elated to inform you that the much-awaited Rocketry: The Nambi Effect will be released worldwide in theatres on 1st April 2022. We have made this movie with a lot of love and dedication and are grateful for all the support that you have shown us so far – Team Rocketry”.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is a biographical drama based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former rocket scientist at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). He was falsely charged with espionage and arrested in 1994. He was acquitted by the Supreme Court in 1998. Nambi and his family were subjected to shame, ridicule and violence but his spirit never broke. The also features the cameo appearance of Bollywood Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect will be simultaneously released in six languages. Along with Hindi, the film will be releasing in several other languages like English, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam. The film is directed and written by R Madhavan.

Earlier this year, the trailer of the film was released for the audience to roll their eyes on. The trailer began with R Madhavan as present-day Nambi Narayanan. He was seen in a unique yet elegant avatar as he opted for a beard and bespectacled look. He further has a conversation with Shah Rukh Khan and tells him to tread carefully otherwise history will be repeated.
