Navratri is a nine-day festival dedicated to the goddess Durga. One of the most important Hindu festivals celebrated in a different region with different names, Navratri holds great significance for the people who worship with great devotion. On the event of Navratri, Nia Sharma and Rahul Vaidya released their new song Garbe Ki Raat on October 8.
The song was doing really well as it was released on YouTube and around more than 115 thousand views within few hours. People loved the song and couldn’t stop themselves grooving over to this latest Garba track, however, on Thursday, it was reported that the singer has been receiving death threats from certain sections of the Gujarati audiences. For the song, Rahul has been getting trolled. The song has the mention of a deity prayed in Gujarat, Shri Mogal Maa and her mention in the song hasn’t sat well with a certain section of devotees.
The song has been taken down and Rahul Vaidya’s spokesperson said that the death threats and messages have not been stopping for a while. The people who are offended by the song have threatened Rahul that if the song is not taken down they would kill me, beat him or file an FIR against the singer. While the team of Rahul said that the mention of deity was done with utmost respect and dignity and they had no intentions of hurting anybody’s sentiment. His spokesperson said that they are currently working on rectifying the situation by making some changes and have requested the rageful audience to give them some time as it will take some time to rectify the song and get it back. He said they completely understand the situation and respect everybody’s emotions and sentiments of all those who have raised the concern and are diligently working towards clearing the whole mess.

The song was sung by Rahul and Indian Idol fame Bhoomi Trivedi. The video of the song featured Rahul alongside TV actress Nia Sharma.
